This course consists of two parts. Part 1 focuses on Scratch coding to create engaging games infused with manga themes, from thrilling adventures to character quests. Students need to have some Scratch coding foundation to participate effectively (take Scratch Ninja 1 & 2 if your child is not familiar with Scratch coding). Part 2 invites your child to express their love for manga through digital design and AI Art using the Canva platform. No prior Canva experience is required.

- Part 1 - Manga Game Adventures
Craft engaging quiz games inspired by your favorite manga series to determine who knows the most about their beloved characters and storylines! Embark on virtual adventures through various fantastical worlds, helping your characters on their quests while navigating obstacles. Race against time to collect magical items, safeguarding your collection to unlock new game levels. Let your child’s imagination soar as they create these fun games in Scratch!
- Part 2 - Manga Art Adventures
Express your admiration for manga through your own artistic creations! Design captivating manga covers for your own stories, and create posters showcasing the unique characters and scenes you love, using a combination of Canva and AI art. We will also combine art and coding skills to make a capstone project, designing the perfect character for your next big adventure! Let your child's creativity shine as they bring their manga-inspired visions to life!
