Select A Free Hour Of Code Activity For Your Students

Hello Teachers, We're excited to partner with you to bring free Hour of Code classes to your classroom! Just follow these simple steps to reserve your classes:

Review the class options below and choose up to two based on your students’ grade level—elementary, middle, or high school.
Click “Request Activity Info,” fill out the form, and submit it.
Check your email and book your class.
Our team will follow up within a few days—be sure to respond to confirm your session.

That’s it!

On the day of your class, simply have your students join via Zoom. A Create & Learn teacher will lead the session, guide your students through the coding activity you selected, and ensure they have a great time learning!

What Is Hour Of Code?

The Hour of Code started as an introduction to computer science created by Code.org. The program was designed to celebrate coding and raise awareness. It was intended to be a quick way to show that anybody can learn the basics of coding, with the goal of broadening participation in the field of computer science. Today it's become a global movement, with participation in 180 countries and 45 different languages. Millions of students participate, enjoying tutorials and activities for one hour.

The Hour of Code takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week. Which is held annually, typically in December, in recognition of the birthday (December 9, 1906) of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper. This year it will take place December 4-10, 2025.

What Devices Do I Need To Participate In Hour Of Code?

To participate in the Hour of Code with Create & Learn, kids will need access to a computer or laptop with an internet connection - Mac, Windows, and Chromebooks are all fine. iPad can not be used for certain classes because it lacks key features.
