Minecraft Modding Quest: Coding with Minecraft Education Edition

Minecraft: Education Edition is a learning platform based on Minecraft where students build projects to reinforce educational concepts. For example, students can explore chemistry by simulating experiments inside Minecraft. It’s also an excellent tool for learning coding. The original version of Minecraft focuses more on gameplay.

While prior coding experiences are not necessary for taking this Minecraft modding quest class, we do recommend students to do at least the first two parts of Scratch Ninja class first. It teaches the core logic of visual programming in a fun, creative environment, perfect for building a strong foundation that can be applied to any programming platform. That said, if your child is highly motivated about learning Minecraft coding and set his/her mind on it, they can start from Minecraft Modding quest as well.
