Advanced Roblox Coding

In this three-session class, students will create a farm-themed Tycoon-style Roblox game where players collect and sell fruits while fulfilling as many orders as possible. The journey begins with designing different types of trees and learning how to code them to grow and produce fruit. Students will then add interactive features, such as picking fruits and selling them to a shopkeeper. As the game progresses, they will build more complex mechanics, including earning money, tracking fruit inventory, and managing ripened fruits.

By the end of the course, students will expand their farms into a full orchard, add dialogue to make characters speak, and enhance the experience with background music—bringing their game to life!

Students will apply coding concepts and problem-solving skills to tackle challenges like organizing customer lines, handling orders with different ingredients, and designing a game mechanism that rewards players for serving the correct orders as quickly as possible. A key new concept they will learn in this class is module scripting, an essential tool for building more advanced Roblox games.
