Does your child enjoy Minecraft? Minecraft: Education Edition is built on top of the regular Minecraft game and includes additional features to teach kids coding and other STEM skills.
In these carefully designed Minecraft modding classes, we cover a broad set of coding concepts. We start by introducing kids to the very basic concept of stacking commands together to make computers accomplish tasks - the fundamentals of coding. Kids will control agents to solve puzzles while interacting with different in-game characters. We will then move on to learn core coding concepts such as loop, operations, conditional, events, function, variables, and more. As students become increasingly proficient in these coding skills, they will progress to constructing more intricate structures and even coding mini-games. Our enjoyable online modding courses employ an inquiry-based approach, providing your children with ample opportunities not only to learn but also to create - an idea enriching experiences!
Note - We provide license for Part 1 - 3 during the period of course so students do not need to purchase Minecraft Education licenses. The Free intro class does not required paid version.
Join us for an unforgettable Minecraft coding adventure where your child can become the hero of the theater! In this new exciting live online coding class, students will step into the shoes of creative problem solvers, using code to ensure the show goes on without a hitch. Guided by an expert instructor, children will explore programming concepts while having tons of fun in this Minecraft: Education Edition world (check out the cool trailer!). Find the show's missing star, unlock hidden gags, and interact with an ensemble cast. Help the Agent overcome stage fright as you solve coding puzzles backstage. Watch your coding skills shine in an epic final performance!
Let the fun begin! We start from the very basics of coding concepts in this fun-filled class. Students solve puzzles by coding an agent in the Minecraft game to move, take actions, and react to the environment. They are also given the opportunity to build open-ended puzzles on their own. We will cover core coding concepts including sequence, conditional, loop, and more. All the puzzles and the projects are designed by our curriculum experts exclusively for Create & Learn.
Students start to spend more time building open-ended projects in part 2, which allows them to expand their imaginations and be creative even more easily. We also advance to teach intermediate coding concepts such as variables, event, and function. Using Minecraft as the platform, students can code to place and break blocks, build structure, spawn animals, develop mini-games, and a lot more. Not only can they play Minecraft, they can create their own favorite games as well!
Build your own battle game that fights off zombies and see who is better at the rock, paper, scissors game built you build in Minecraft! This is the last of the series of coding classes based on Minecraft Education Edition. We will practice and learn more about how to use variables and functions to make our code a lot more efficient and reusable by building two fun games. The game logic and components are also more complex. Code and have fun building cool projects!
