Ayaka Ikawa

Science, Math, Computer Science Educator. Master of Science in Instructional Technology.

I have 5+ years of experience in tutoring students from K-12 in many different subjects, mainly for math and science. After teaching various core subjects for many years as a tutor, I realized that I could actually learn about computer science; hence, I’ve pursued my master's degree to learn about the computer science concepts. In fact, I recently graduated with my Master of Science in Instructional Technology with an emphasis in Computer Science Teaching and Learning. In my teaching, I believe in using student-centered discussions and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students. I always try to explain concepts and ideas in a way that is easy for students to understand. I am passionate about helping students succeed and reach their full potential.
