1. Create & Learn's Coding Scholarship
Enjoy award-winning online computer science classes led live by an expert, and designed by professionals from Google, Stanford, and MIT. Learn game development, website building, artificial intelligence, and much more. There are even free coding classes and free fun tech events.
- Recipients will enjoy a 50% scholarship on up to 2 parts (8 55-minute sessions) of any class.
- New classes start year-round.
- Total value of the scholarship is up to $105.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible, students must be United States residents ages 5-18, be recommended by a teacher, be eligible for reduced price or free meals at school, and have a demonstrated interest in STEM. Limited number of scholarships available based on a first come, first serve basis.
2. Amazon Future Engineer
With the Amazon Future Engineer program you can receive a scholarship of up to $40,000 (up to $10,000/year) towards an undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science and an offer to complete a summer internship at Amazon. Applications are open now and will close on December 15th, 2023 at 4:00pm EST. In order to qualify you must be a high school senior in the U.S. who has completed or is currently enrolled in a computer science course.
3. Coding with Kids
Coding with Kids is a computer science academy for K-12 students offering online summer camps and after-school classes. They have partnered with Amazon Future Engineer to provide scholarships for students with financial need.
4. The Coding Space
The Coding Space offers in-person and online co-ed and girls-only coding classes and summer bootcamps in Scratch, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS. They offer needs-based full and partial (50%) scholarships for students with financial need.
Diversity Coding Scholarships for Historically Underrepresented Youth
Diversity coding scholarships for historically underrepresented youth provide assistance for students from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in computer science. These scholarships aim to increase access to coding classes and increase diversity in computer science education and industry.
1. Best Colleges Scholarship
BestColleges is now accepting applications for their inaugural $6,000 scholarship opportunity for Black Women in STEM. This scholarship is part of BestColleges' ongoing commitment to supporting students, particularly those from historically marginalized communities, by providing them with opportunities for success. Black women remain underrepresented in STEM fields, despite the growing demand for talent in these industries.
In order to participate in the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Black woman who is pursuing a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) degree at a four-year college or university
- Provide one letter of recommendation
- Write a 500-word essay that describes their interests and motivations for pursuing a career in STEM

2. CodeWizardsHQ
CodeWizardsHQ provides online coding classes in Scratch, Python, web design, and software engineering for K-12 students. They offer scholarships for students who have been historically underrepresented in STEM to encourage coding education for minority and female students.
3. Natives in Tech + Nucamp Scholarship
This is a $50,000 scholarship fund to prepare and launch more Native technologists into high-demand coding careers. Beyond inclusion within Nucamp’s national network of coders, students will engage with Natives in Tech’s growing community for networking and support. Available for anyone at least 18 years old who is a member of a federally recognized tribal nation. The Nucamp "Natives in Tech" Scholarship funding is allocated on a first come, first served basis and until the fund is depleted.
4. AISES Scholarships
AISES provides financial aid to Indigenous students in STEM through scholarships funded by dedicated donors and partners. Students must be members of AISES, enrolled in a college, and have tribal affiliation. And there are more than 15 differet scholarships available.
Computer Science Scholarships for Girls
Computer science scholarships for girls provide assistance for female-identifying students. These scholarships aim to increase access to coding classes and get more girls interested and involved in computer science education and industry.
1. Kode with Klossy
Kode with Klossy offers two-week in-person and online summer coding camps for girls and non-binary individuals ages 13-18 to learn website development, app development, and data science. They offer scholarships for girls and non-binary individuals who are interested in learning coding.
2. Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program Stipend
In the two-week Summer Immersion Program (SIP), high school students attend live, virtual classes sponsored by industry-leading companies like MetLife, Bank of America, Logitech and Synchrony. SIP students will dive into the tech world and game design, covering beginner to intermediate CS concepts, the step-by-step design process, and the basics of UX design. There is a $300 needs-based grant for eligible students who wish to participate in the United States.
3. Society of Women Engineers
For 65 years, SWE scholarships have empowered women pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering, engineering technology, and related fields. Each year, SWE offers more than 250 scholarships to students globally. With a single application, your student is automatically considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.
Merit Scholarships for Coding for Kids
Merit scholarships are awarded to students based on their performance or achievements in coding, computer science, or general academics. These scholarships are not dependent on a student's financial situation or background.
1. Davidson Institute
The Davidson Institute provides community, opportunities, and resources for gifted students through summer programs, online courses, and community-building programs and activities. They offer scholarships for gifted and high-achieving students who have completed a significant piece of work in science, technology, engineering, and other categories.
Can you get a scholarship for coding bootcamp?
Yes! Many coding bootcamps offer scholarships to ensure students of all backgrounds and experiences can take advantage of these opportunities. These scholarships apply towards in-person or virtual coding bootcamps and are often geared towards students from underrepresented groups in computer science or those experiencing financial hardship.

1. CoderKids
CoderKids offers in-person and online coding bootcamps for learning Scratch, Minecraft with Java, Arduino boards, Python, Game Maker Studio, web development, and app development. They offer scholarships for students in their local communities to attend their in-person coding bootcamps.
2. iD Tech
iD Tech offers in-person and online coding bootcamps for learning coding, game development, robotics, web design, and digital media. They offer a variety of scholarships to increase the accessibility and affordability of their programs for underserved students.
College Scholarships for Coding
1. The BestColleges Scholarship for Black Women in STEM
Black women remain underrepresented in STEM fields, despite the growing demand for talent in these industries. The BestColleges Scholarship for Black Women in STEM provides a total of $30,000 in five scholarships worth $6,000 each. The scholarship is open to Black women who are currently enrolled or intend to enroll in a degree program in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
2. Lockheed Martin Scholarship
Lockheed Martin has established a scholarship program to provide opportunities to students studying select STEM degrees that demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities. In 2024, up to 100 renewable scholarships of $10,000 each are offered for full-time study at an accredited U.S. institution of the student’s choice. Current high school seniors with a cumulative 2.5 or above GPA, or current college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors with a cumulative 2.5 or above GPA, are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2024, 3:00 pm Central Time.
3. Google Scholarships
Google offers a wide range of scholarships to students that identify with groups historically excluded from the technology industry, such as the Generation Google Scholarship (APAC) for women in computer science. The scholarships are intended help students who pursue computer science degrees to excel in technology and become field leaders.
