In this class, we will start with the introduction to data science and the purpose and features of the Pandas library. Then we move on to learn about techniques of data cleaning, data processing, and data analytics. (New summer 2023) We have incorporated ChatGPT AI throughout the class to teach students how to use ChatGPT as an effective way to develop higher quality code, explore beyond what classes can teach, and a lot more. In the capstone project, we will practice and apply all the knowledge and techniques to students' own dataset. Students will also explore data visualization using basic graphs and charts in Pandas and the best practices. Finally, students will complete the analytics, visualization, and presentation of their own final capstone projects. With effective use of ChatGPT, students can create more advanced capstone projects as well.

Join this fun free intro class to get a taste of what creating Roblox games is like, and start learning Roblox coding! This class is designed for students who have not had any prior experience with Roblox Studio, the official tool for building Roblox games. We help students install and activate Roblox Studio, and go through a step-by-step tutorial to build an interactive Obby game with different shapes, colors, and materials!Due to the popularity of this free class, there might be more than five students per intro class. Please note that the full course has a cap at five students maximum to ensure ample attention is provided to each student.

In this first part we introduce the basics of Roblox coding through building fun games! Most students have not interacted with complex coding environments such as Roblox Studio before, so we will ensure they are setup for success by teaching foundational skills. This includes how to use workspace and how to configure properties of objects such as color and texture to implement in games. We will start learning important coding concepts such as if/then, loop, and variable in the context of Roblox coding, as well as how to have game elements respond to interactions from players such as clicks, movements, and more!

Accelerated Scratch 1

In this final part of our Python programming course for kids, students will be introduced to more advanced Python concepts, including data structures such as 2D arrays, as well as using new modules and the API for an AI system. Students will also become creators of their own independent Python projects. By the end of the course, they will design and code their own Python program from scratch. To help them prepare, students will practice reading code written by other people and leveraging the Python documentation, to accomplish new things that are not covered by the teacher during class.
